In February 2024, the North Central Conservancy Trust was awarded first-time national accreditation status through the Land Trust Accreditation Commission, an independent program of the Land Trust Alliance.

The accreditation seal is a mark of distinction in land conservation. It is awarded to land trusts meeting the highest national standards for excellence and conservation permanence.

Each accredited land trust completes a rigorous review process and joins a network of organizations united by strong ethical practices. This trusted network of land trusts has demonstrated fiscal accountability, strong organizational leadership, sound transactions and lasting stewardship of the lands they conserve.

NCCT joins a network of over 450 accredited land trusts across the nation that have demonstrated their commitment to professional excellence and to maintaining the public’s trust in their work. NCCT is one of 1,363 land trusts across the United States according to the Land Trust Alliance’s most recent National Land Trust Census.
