Putting the Kibosh on Extinction – the Power of Birds
by Craig Thompson, Chief of Program Integration, Bureau of Natural Heritage Conservation, WDNR
Craig Thompson began working for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources when gas was 86 cents/gallon. He has held a variety of positions within the agency and is currently Chief of Program Integration for the Bureau of Natural Heritage Conservation. His focus is the conservation of migratory birds across the Western Hemisphere. For the past 30 years, he has led conservation birding tours to the tropics to support protection efforts for some of Latin America’s most threatened habitats.
