Join NCCT on the Green Circle Trail for a fun bike ride to raise awareness and as a fundraiser for conservation in Central Wisconsin! Sunday, August 31st at the Bukolt Lodge in Bukolt Park. This event will begin at the Bukolt Park Lodge and follow the Green Circle Trail. This is not a race, it's simply a fun bike ride to raise awareness for conservation in Central Wisconsin, and enjoy the beauty the Stevens Point Area offers. 

Kids 10 and Under ride FREE! Must ride with an adult.

Snacks and refreshments will be provided at the rest stops throughout the  routes, but please bring whatever else you need to ride comfortably.

Bukolt Lodge will be the start and end of all bike rides. There will be snacks, refreshments, and restrooms all available. 

Participants will receive a FREE Bike Ride for Conservation water bottle and NCCT koozie at the event.

Come check out the Annual Harvest Dinner Major Raffle Prize, a GOTRAX CTI-3 Step Through Electric Bike, which will be on showcase at this event! Before or after you ride, be sure to purchase raffle tickets to be entered for your chance to win! The drawing will take place at the Annual Harvest Dinner on September 25th at 7:30pm at the Pfiffner Building in Pfiffner Park. Need not be present to win! Click here to purchase tickets online.

BIKE RIDE SCHEDULE

Helmets are required.

27 Mile Ride starts at 10:00am

12 Mile Ride starts at 10:30am

6 Mile Ride starts at 11:00am

Kids Ride (2.5 Miles) starts at 11:00am

*Those choosing the Family Ride can take part in any of the four rides

All riders should be finished with their route and back to Bukolt Park Lodge by 3pm. The event will conclude at 4pm.

    Trail Building Workdays at the Big Cain Creek Preserve, Town of Texas, Marathon County:

    • Wednesday, May 27, 9am-3pm

    NCCT is building a trail at the Big Cain Creek Preserve, and we'd love to have your help! These workdays will focus on removing tree stumps and shrubs from the surface of the new trail, some light trail tread development, "raking and scraping" the surface of the trail, and hauling brush. NCCT will provide tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves and eye protection as needed. No prior experience necessary, all are welcome.

    If you own any trail building tools that you are willing to bring, we could use the following: mattocks, McLeods, Pulaskis, a rock bar, and a Sawzall. 

    **Note: this property has some technical, rocky footing/terrain, and steep slopes. The only bathroom available on site is nature’s bathroom. Please plan accordingly.

    MEET/PARK: Meet at the Big Cain Creek Preserve on Cattle Road north of Wausau. Click here for Google Maps. Road is narrow, please park on east shoulder.

    DIRECTIONS: From Hwy 39/51N, take exit 197 and go east on Cty Rd WW for 10 miles. Then go east on River Hills Rd for 2 miles, then north on N73rd St/River Hills Rd for 2 miles. Slight left onto Cattle Rd. Click here for Google Maps.

    PLEASE BRING: 

    • Weather appropriate clothing, rain gear, and footwear for secure footing
    • Water and beverages
    • Lunch and snacks (lunch will not be provided)
    • Sunscreen and insect repellant
    • PPE such as leather work gloves and safety glasses
    • Anything else you need for a comfortable and safe volunteer experience.

    Join NCCT as we celebrate another year of successful conservation in Central Wisconsin at our Annual Harvest Dinner Fundraiser & Friend-raiser! Thursday, September 24th from 4:30-8:00 PM at the Pfiffner Building, in Pfiffner Park!
    There will be dinner catered by local businesses, a special presentation by NCCT staff, a silent auction and raffle, as well as live music.
