Join NCCT staff for multiple upcoming invasive species workdays on Bukolt Island in Stevens Point!
We’ll be working to remove buckthorn, honeysuckle, and other trees and shrubs that are encroaching into our pollinator planting area on the Island from 10am-2pm every Wednesday and Friday through the end of February:

- Friday, February 6
- Wednesday, February 11

- Friday, February 20

- Friday, February 27
To access the Island, we’ll be crossing over the frozen ice. NCCT will be monitoring ice thickness before each event to determine whether it is safe to cross. Please RSVP to each event so we can communicate any workday changes due to unsafe conditions or inclement weather. WHAT TO BRING:
- Winter-appropriate footwear for warmth and secure footing
- Clothing to dress in layers for warmth and to keep dry
- Personal protective equipment such as work gloves and safety glasses (if you have them, if not we can provide them)

- Sawyers may bring their own saw (chainsaw or brush saw) and PPE
- Snacks and/or lunch (lunch will not be provided)
