Join NCCT and conservation partners for an interpretive hike at Suszko Ridge in Waushara County led by Dr. Bob Freckmann, botanist and retired professor emeritus of Biology at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point. Learn about conservation easements, land protection opportunities, and the prairie restoration project at the property.

  • Date & Time: Saturday, August 19th from 10 AM – noon
  • Location: NCCT’s Suszko Ridge Property, Blackhawk Road in Wautoma, Waushara County, WI. Click here for Google Maps: VIEW IN GOOGLE MAPS
  • Directions: From Wautoma, take 73 North for just under 2 miles. Turn left onto Brown Deer Drive and follow for about a mile. Turn right onto Blackhawk Road and Suszko Ridge is located about 0.25 miles down the road. We will have signage up to direct folks to where they should park, etc. 
  • What to Bring: 
    • Anything you need for a comfortable and safe hike! 
    • Water bottle
    • Snacks
    • Comfortable shoes
    • Insect Repellent
    • Camera, binoculars, etc.
