NCCT Launches Annual Fund, Refines Fundraising Programs

New in 2023: NCCT’s Annual Fund!
The Annual Fund is made up of the different giving programs that together support NCCT’s mission. NCCT’s members – individuals like you – are the core of the Annual Fund! Together, we have protected 4,958 acres of land in Central Wisconsin (and counting). With your continued support, we are poised to grow! The Annual Fund is designed to connect any and all donors with an opportunity to support local conservation.

   NCCT Annual Fund: Giving Programs

  • Membership – One of NCCT’s largest funding sources and the central component of the Annual Fund! A donation at any level makes you a Member of NCCT for one year.
  • Special Tributes/Honorary Gifts – Donations made In Memory or In Honor Of someone are a means of expressing condolences or extending an honor upon them while supporting NCCT.
  • Endowment – Donations to NCCT’s endowment funds with the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin and Community Foundation of North Central Wisconsin provide long-range, perpetual support for NCCT to carry out its mission.
  • Planning Giving – Bequests, gifts and bargain sales of land, reserved life estates, and charitable gift annuities to NCCT allow donors to leave a lasting legacy.
  • The Ranger Fund – Restricted to improvements and maintenance at NCCT’s office building. Donors are recognized on the Freeman Legacy Tree mural at NCCT’s office.
  • Business Sponsorship – A donation of $250 or more by a business or corporation makes them a Business Sponsor of NCCT for one year. Four giving levels give Business Sponsors the opportunity to provide critical support for NCCT’s operations or for Special Events.
  • Grants – Grants are sought from foundations, corporations, and partners. They provide financial support to accomplish specific goals across all NCCT’s program areas.
  • Special Events – Support for special events such as field trips and NCCT’s Annual Harvest Dinner generate awareness and increase the visibility of NCCT’s work, protecting more land and helping to grow the organization.

Your Membership
As part of the rollout of the Annual Fund, NCCT has built on our existing membership program to establish two new Major Gift Societies. The first will recognize members, donors of land, and conservation easement donors for their cumulative lifetime gifts to NCCT. Stay tuned for more information this fall! The second, the Land Protectors Circle, will recognize members for their major annual gifts to NCCT.

Introducing the Land Protectors Circle
We are excited to introduce the Land Protectors Circle: a new annual gift society that consists of members giving $500 or more to NCCT each year. The Land Protectors Circle recognizes and thanks these members whose contributions are helping to provide resources to support NCCT’s short-term and long-range goals.
